OUGD404 Design Principles Type Hierarchies Task John Lewis Website

Although there are four different fonts on this web page, once again the ratio of images to type means that business is avoided, this is aided by the fact that all the fonts are from the Gill sans type face so compliment each other perfectly. There is a continuation of this modular theme of layout in websites and a colour theme that draws the eye downwards to counteract the width of the format. the main difference between the first and second hierarchies is the way that colour density plays a much more dominating role in the second. This time the density of colour made the letters stand out rather than a type change to a bold font.
