OUGD406 Studio Brief 04 Rationale and Brief

Brief:
Many new students are reluctant to use the print rooms and the many production methods they provide. This is often because they tend to be slightly over whelming when you have no experience with said production methods. Create a design solution that informs new students about one or both of the print rooms in an effort to persuade them to use them more.

Mandatory requirements:
The solution can take any format as long as this is informed by the content and tone of voice being striven for.

Deliverables:
The finished piece of design work
development of design shown on blog detailing clear consideration f design decisions
Presentation to first year at the beginning of the next academic year.

Rationale:
I propose to create a menu of sorts detailing the production methods available in the rossington street print room. This print room is the most welcoming to novices and the technicians are incredibly helpful. The menu will be in a chalk board aesthetic because this connotes both learning and the idea of working with your hands. Each production method will have an example of the kind of work it can produce. I will also include a map to help the new students find the vernon street building. Knowing about war is available, I am certain would have given me the confidence to try different production methods out earlier.
