This is in a fact a letter press design done from drawings then cut into wood letters. possibly this was done in reverse so that the letters were in fact the colour of the stock and the area around them coloured during the print.

The metal angular type used on the majority of this design is is juxtaposed by the soft curls of the decoration which bring that sharp serifs into relief.

This design for the SOTA award certificate shows an alphabet that could only be the result of digital construction. I am uncertain if I like this or not, possibly the ornamentation is just too in abstraction of the legibility in this situation.

This print design draws heavily on the shapes and transitions of bone type, with ribbon like swishes and blunt ends creating a high contrast look.

Once again the flexibility of this lettering marks it as hand rendered yet the sharpness of the lines suggests a digital finish. the soft and smooth transition from light to heavy line weight marks this type and more of sable origins than anything else.

This add by Jessica Hische uses what I believe is an augmented version of Georgia bold italic. It has a clear connection to bone type with its smooth curves and varying line weight.
